Why Cosmetology & Spa Institute?

The Cosmetology & Spa Institute in Crystal Lake, Illinois was founded by Ned Halimi, a former professional hairstylist, salon owner and cosmetology school manager. Ned's extensive background in cosmetology includes many advanced training classes (esthetician training, cosmetology training, makeup artist training, hair stylist training, etc.) taken at prestigious academies around the world. His dynamic international experience is the foundation for the avant-garde cosmetology training offered at our school, along with the influence from our friends at the Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School, the Aveda Institute and the Vidal Sassoon Academy.

Cosmetology & Spa Institute is a Vidal Sassoon Connection Member School. We are the only Connection school in Illinois, and the first in the United States.

Our goal is to provide quality education and vocational training to ensure that upon graduation, our students are capable of passing the Illinois state cosmetology licensing exam and all other requirements of Illinois.
