The curriculum at the Cosmetology and Spa Institute includes the best of Vidal Sassoon and Pivot Point training. It is designed to meet the needs of motivated, career-oriented students. We offer smaller class sizes to ensure that each student receives more one-on-one time with their instructor. The training we give to our students prepares them for specific professional level careers.
The Cosmetology and Spa Institute focuses on learning through practical operation on a repetitive basis. This creates a great school atmosphere where you learn through hands-on experience. Our education is particularly directed towards helping students develop desirable attitudes and habits with respect to health, sanitation and safety.
Industry Experts
In addition, the Cosmetology and Spa Institute regularly schedules visits from guest speakers and educators from the cosmetology industry. They include instructors, professional stylists, salon owners, and representatives from major manufacturers. Through these presentations, students gain insight into the "real world" of the cosmetology industry and receive valuable information on what it takes to be successful in it. Students and graduates alike appreciate taking advantage of the school's direct connection to the heartbeat of our ever-changing industry.
Internships
At the Cosmetology and Spa Institute, students have the option of participating in an internship to complete part of their required 1500 hours of training. A student can obtain up to 10% of their total program hours by training under a licensed sponsor at an approved salon. The student, sponsor and sponsor's salon must meet certain criteria in order to participate in the internship. Internships are available for the Cosmetology and Esthetics programs.
